Beta testing / Phoenix LiveView

18-Jul-2023 | 11:16 AM
It's one thing to see a site running on your local machine, and it's quite another thing to see the same site deployed on a server being used by multiple people. When I undertook to re-write the iCompositions website, I decided to use a technology that was totally new to me: Phoenix LiveView. It is a fairly new technology, and so I was really taking a chance when I decided to use it.

So far, I am discovering some very interesting things, and I am making changes to the code to make the site useable for the testers. It is a very interesting process. I am optimistic about the Phoenix LiveView technology, and I hope it will produce a very good website in time.

I will have more to say about this in the future.

The Holy Grail is real time collaboration. If we can accomplish that, we have broken the record industry for good.

LOVE IT already the easiest music site out there Kompoz and ProCollab are not easy to navigate on, and Kompoz is a nightmare after they redo the whole site. There is one thing I would love to see is, on the list of DAWs What we use I would have Harrison Mixbus added quite a few people use it today But you have done a wonderful job bringing my old home up from the ashes :) Thanks a lot! /Tom
