I'm posting this to share a thought, and also just to test this blog function and see how it might be used. In the short time I have been on iBandstand, I am finding it fascinating to listen to everyone's creations. There is so much variety in every way and I'm finding that incredibly useful. Listening to all of these different angles on instrumentation, rhythm, tone, performance levels, mix techniques, it really shows you how much possibility lies in recording. It's also so neat to get immediate windows into so many different forms of expression and personality. Very much enjoying being here.
I feel the same, Moses. Endless creativity... Never enough time to listen to everything. Let's also hope more artists will join, task will get even harder !
Great having you here Noah. Your comments tend to be very perceptive and show that you are giving our songs a serious listen, rather than just doing "drive by" listens in order to get folks to listen and comment on your tunes.
Not only do I enjoy your music, I think you perform a real service here, even if that is not always understood.

When it comes to mixing, I have no tech skill whatever. I just keep tweaking things till my ear approves!
Daugrin has made a valiant and generous attempt over the years to initiate me into the tech aspect of things (for which effort I will always be grateful), but while the teacher borders on genius, the student is a bit of a blockhead.. And so it goes...
Nevertheless, I always take tips seriously, as long as they're not overly technical. Ha ha...
