Song information
This song was originally posted in 2019, when some of my friends and family called it conspiracy theory. I'm thankful for iBandstand, for the opportunity to put it out there again.
The term Kafkaesque has entered the English language to describe absurd situations. In his literature, Kafka's characters were often coming up against an overbearing power of some kind, one that could easily break the will of men and destroy their sense of self-worth.

Lyrics
Kafkaesque
Kafkaesque

In this place, In this time
2 plus 2 equals 5
Crowded streets, shuffling feet
Captive minds eyes cast down
Welcome to the farm
There's no need for alarm

Your numbers crypted in the feed
They know your every need
People ask hey what's your score
It represents so much more
Rise or fall happens fast
But they determine what's your class

Captive minds, captive minds

They know when you're online, they know when you e-sign
Travel the west side and land on the east side
They know who your friends are, located your parked car
Your ATM withdrawal, the tab at the last bar
Repeat

They're listening in now, it's all stored in Utah
They know all about you; you'll never get that far
You try to go under but your digital number keeps telling on you
Yes it's telling on you

Welcome to the farm, there's no need for alarm
Your numbers crypted in the feed, they know your every need
The time is here; the time is now
Before there's no time to proceed
Their plan for you, their plan for me
Is the need for Orwellian seas
It's time to face reality
Were numbers now no longer free
Time to raise the alarm, and never spend another day on the farm
Not one more day on the farm

Absolute yes.  A brave statement.  100% based.  This groove is threadbare, but it works here nicely, I will overlook the similarities with some 70s hits, it's all good, and, we all recycle.
Bravo!  I can not beleive someone stood up.

Wow what a cool intro on the guitar. A litle Doors touch to it I like.

Thank you guys for all the input. I hear a little of all the comparisons, and so enjoy the feel of the  period of music , I consider some of the best.

Upon hearing this, Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd, and some of the stuff Fleetwood Mac did when Bob Welch was in the band came to mind.   I really the mellow groove, classic rock style groove you've got here.   Great work.

Reminds me of classic CSN music. Nicely done. Maybe with a touch of PF. Enjoyed.
