Entering high School I was a drummer, during hi school I discovered Yes and that changed everything for me… I left Hi School more of a guitar player than anything else… after hi school I heard Larry Carlton and that helped change the way I saw the guitar… now I’m a huge Steely Dan (Donald Fagan fan), so I chose to cover one of their tunes where Carlton played the solo…On this particular song I played all the instruments and sang all the vocals…
I clearly remember buying this album when i was maybe 25 yo. Hated it. But now, you know... I listened to it a few months ago, and i enjoyed it very much. Your version has all the subtilities the song requires, and your voice is superb. And that elec guit solo... Beautiful, really.
I know Yes very well (one of my favorite bands) but I don't know Steely Dan at all. Anyway, great song and great cover (I guess). Production is perfect as usual.
