A while back I did this with my pal Patrick (Lafayette) … I've always enjoyed Diana Krall's music, especially her earlier stuff. It was always a pleasure to work with Patrick and I'm so sorry he's gone, but his spirit lives on.


The song Peel Me a Grape was written by Dave Frishberg and was first released by Anita O'Day - Cal Tjader in 1962.

What a fun tune. Although I've never followed DK's music, I remember seeing her perform on a TV program years ago, and that I was very impressed.
Voice is in fine form here, and the music is superb!

Thank you everyone… Although I enjoy songwriting, I am actually more comfortable doing cover pieces because the songwriting is already proven. Plus, I don't have to come up with a set of lyrics, along with a melody line which is hard at times.
