Keep That Coffee Coming

Black coffee
Is all I like to drink
Gets me going
So I can begin to think

Don’t test my patience
Or my mood will start to sink

You can mix it with sugar
Or turn on a bunch of cream
But I like my java
Just black all nice and clean

You’re all the sweets I need
Making mornings like a dream

Some say its vino
That gets them going all night long
I’ll take my coffee
First thing just nice and strong

Don’t mess with my mojo
Or I won’t be here long

Some say psychedelics
Keep them going all the night
I don’t need fancy drugs
To make the day seem right

Just keep that coffee coming
Brewed with the morning light

Enjoyed this, especially your lyrics too. Time for me to enemy morning coffee while I listen to this.

I too drink coffee. My sweet Diane puts a cup of Cappuccino or Latte on my bedtable every morning. And then it is black coffee the rest of the day. Lots of it.
I love this music. Swinging. Lovely piano chords, the sax, and a well timed vocal. Super

It's 9am here in France and I have already drunk 3 coffees and I will surely drink others during the day. Very nice song Mary. First solo is a bit too loud to my taste. Piano and bass are outstanding.

Yeah, Dan's sax  is a bit too loud… I agree. He likes that freeform style of playing I guess.

I'm more an Earl Grey type in the mornings, but nothing percolates quite like a good tribute to one's favorite morning jolt.
Enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing!
