Time to take a break from the serious stuff and have a little fun!

This is a “Men Are From Mars Women Are From Venus” themed tune.

It features special guests Andy “Wiggy” Wigzell on saxophone, and
Andy Mackle on drums.

Mastered by the mighty Tom Hellstens.

PS: My wife loves this one. It cracks her up whenever she hears it,
‘cause she knows it’s true….

Lyrics
BABY TALKS IN CODE

I
I’ve got no real cause to complain.
I’m as blessed as I can be;
but the language that my baby speaks
—it’s a mystery to me!

II
I’m not lacking in education.
I know all the words and sounds;
but it takes a lot more to crack her code,
than the knowledge of verbs and nouns!

CHORUS:
Our conversations are rituals!
Our arguments are a dance…
I know even before I speak,
I’m takin’ a real big chance!
I’ve struggled through years
of laughter and tears,
to decipher those things that she says…
And just when I think I’ve got it nailed,
my baby up and changes the code again!

III
My baby talks in code of a complex kind.
I often scan for context. There’s seldom any to find!
She’s always jumpin’ from one thing to another.
A segue nowhere in sight;
she just can’t be bothered!

IV
Well my baby she thinks in spirals,
while I think in straight lines;
but sometimes when we’re talkin’
I feel I might just lose my mind…

V
I really should be grateful,
‘cause she sets my soul on fire;
and her mysterious communiques
keep-a-sparkin’  my desire!

CHORUS:
Our conversations are rituals!
Our arguments are a dance…
I know even before I speak,
I’m takin’ a real big chance!
I’ve struggled through years
of laughter and tears,
to decipher those things that she says…
And just when I think I’ve got it nailed,
my baby up and changes the code again!

This is so funny! And I do think that the way men and women communicate is for the most part vastly different.

What a great song. Music wise I am taken back to the 70s where music was honest and lyrics meant something. Really great rock music. Excellent performance

Thank you all for the kind comments!
Now perhaps a FEMALE member could write and post a song about this from a woman's perspective. That would be so much fun to hear!
Anyway, I'm so glad this is being received in the spirit intended.
VIVA LA DIFFERENCIA!

Ha Ha !! Good one !  Love the saxaphone add in and your lyrics ring true. Made me wonder if the Navajo men have the same problem.

Lol... I don't know about Navajo men. I'm part Mohawk, so can only speak for myself!
Seems a somewhat universal phenomenon though...

Thanks Joyce! There's an old HOME IMPROVEMENT episode where a character played by Ernest Borgnine counsels the Tool Man with the words: "You don't have to understand your wife. You just have to love her..."
Were truer words ever spoken? Lol...
Glad you appreciated the tune my friend!
