Sad is not inappropriate; it's another emotion that makes us human. Nicely controlled. It kept my interest throughout, not an easy thing to do with slow music. The addition of the percussion at 3:20 or so changes the mood of the piece. Yes, it adds variation, but seems a little out of place to my ear. I liked the ending as well! You received the music not to hold it, but to share it.  The Muse doesn't make mistakes.  The track is fantastic.

Wow! An epic piece, Thierry! Very heavy! Very Deep, Very Dark! The coral voices are piecing into my soul! This is indeed very sad times for us. I am so fearful that our human race may soon be wiped out by the Careless power-seeking evil people! There's so much evil in the world these days! Is there an answer? I shudder to think! Yet I can't bury my head in the sand because there's no sand to be found! The fear pierces me from all directions! No escape! Wonderful composing! Salute!!!

Loving the music, the space, the loneliness shown in death, the common tragedy, all put together with a classical mood (I was this close to say "cinematic" mood, but this is quite the opposite: nothing fictional here). "Sad is no inapropiate". Soulima.
