Song information
Wrote this in 2013. The song was modelled off Robert Palmer's old hit "Every Kinda People." This is an upgrade from the original recording that was done back when it was written. Beack then, I was working a phone customer service job where I didn't have to show up untiil about 9:30 AM, so I could get up, walk about, and do errands without big crowds, which is all in the words. It's a little bubblegumish in my mind, but what the heck.

Lyrics
I go out on the hour
Walk the same road on my walk of power
Nothing makes you turn away
Soon I'll be back around to check around

CHORUS:
Gotta have a simple morning
To get your day to roll
Gotta have a simple morning
To get your day to flow

When I'm out store bound
There's no one else around
Never have a problem
To get the things that you need

Gas lines, they don't appear
You can fill your tank here
The weather's not too cold
And plus it's light out on the road

REPEAT CHORUS:

When I see you now
That's the backbone of my day
Love is the key
To get you on your feet again

REPEAT CHORUS:

Mark, I like your piano spin off every bit as the one on Every Kind Of People. I like how your subject flowed with that likeable piano spin. I worked at Customer Service too but I started out at 6:30 am..:) Bubblegummish you think? Naww.. Another one of your best- your fan, Joyce

There's a Josh Rouse song called "1972". The opening lyrics are "She was feeling 1972, grooving to a Carole King tune". This is were your song takes me too. Very cool. Love this piano leading the way, and the subtle guitar solo. Fine fine music, sir.
