@TrebleFace@Bowman thank you both… I used to perform in Los Angeles with our singing group primarily at assisted-living facilities. The older folks love these standards and I enjoyed learning them as well. And yes, I believe it was written by Charlie Chaplin.
This is such a beautiful song. Very well sung. And it is Charlie Chaplin that wrote the melody for the film Modern Times. Lyrics were composed much later and not by Chaplin. But I think they used some words from the film
