NOT A SPARROW FALLS

Not one sparrow falls nor so much as a hair, 
without Your providence, Your presence and Your care.
This fallen will of ours is oftentimes a curse. 
Yeah without the gift of Grace things be a whole lot worse.

We all should make the Light the object of our search;
or choose pleasure, and pursue the rich man’s purse.

Turn around! What’s that sound?
It’s the Voice of the One Who loves you.
What’s that you say? Do it today!
Now’s the time there is no other.
Hey!

Forgive if I in sin-sick haze neglect sufficient thanks,
for my protection here in Your ever-swelling ranks.
As cultural darkness deepens and night tightens up it’s noose;
give courage not to yield, no, no question of a truce!

And at the lightning’s flash and the final trumpets’ sound,
—at that great gathering of all the lost who have been found;
we’ll all rejoice we took our stand with Heaven’s Hound!
