One of my favourite originals from the nineties. A song sandwich, the main melody with a bridge is between a prelude and postlude.
The swing melody was captured on cassette as a guitar melody. I transcribed it while waiting for my son at his swimming lesson. Later on the ferry I wrote the bridge and harmonized the song after work at school later.
I've tried a few times to rehearse to a performance level but it's too darn complicated to be practical. Thankfully I have patient friends.
The solos mainly happen during the middle section, with the bass solo reserved for the outro.
