Song information
Ella Fitzgerald's version of this classic. I like the slower tempo of this song.

"Satin Doll" is a jazz standard written by Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn with lyrics by Johnny Mercer. Written in 1953, the song has been recorded by Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae, Billy Eckstine, Nancy Wilson, Bobby Short, and many other vocalists. As an instrumental, it has been recorded by hundreds of jazz artists.

I first heard this song, of all places, on a Pointer Sisters album called "Steppin'" where they did a medley tribute to Ellington.   I learned how to play the chords to this song when I was 18 or 19, so this does bring back memories.  You do a fantastic job, as always.
