Song information

I absolutely love my career as an Occupational Therapist - it's been a wild and wonderful ride filled with countless stories and unforgettable people. Over the years, helping others has made it more than worth giving it my all (and yes, sometimes that means cranking it up to 110%, even when the coffee hasn’t kicked in yet).

Outside of work, I’m also passionate about creating music. So when I was asked to write a song for a promotional video at my old workplace in New Zealand, I didn’t hesitate for a second - I was in faster than you can say “guitar solo.” I do miss the amazing team over there, but I have to say, the crew here in Hamburg is just as fantastic… even if they do have a very *unique* way of winding down after a long week.

Here, the guys celebrate with what they like to call “International Beer Day” (every Friday). Personally, I think beer tastes like regret in a bottle - so I stick with a nice glass of Shiraz. We ladies have our own tradition: 'Red Wine Friday'. Much classier, far more delicious, and way less burping involved.

Lyrics
V1
Another week, another tale to tell,
From puzzle pieces to parallel bars as well.
We’ve guided hands and lifted hearts,
Helped folks mend their broken parts.
The days can stretch, the stories run deep,
But it’s the little wins we love to keep—
A patient’s grin, a shaky step,
The quiet pride in each small rep.

Chorus
So here’s to Red Wine Friday, let the stories pour,
We raise a glass and laugh some more.
From splints to spills and miracle strides,
We toast the highs, and let go of the tides.
Red Wine Friday, with this OT crew
There’s healing in the work… and in the wine too.

V2.
We talk shop and we talk life,
About that toddler who gave a high five.
The stroke survivor who found her voice,
And made us all believe in choice.
The week behind us, the weekend near,
We trade our pens for wine and cheer.
The burdens shared, the laughter grows,
In the stories only OT knows.

Chorus
So here’s to Red Wine Friday, let the stories pour,
We raise a glass and laugh some more.
From splints to spills and miracle strides,
We toast the highs, and let go of the tides.
Red Wine Friday, with this OT crew
There’s healing in the work… and in the wine too.

Instrumental bit

Bridge
Here’s to the hands we held,
To the stories not yet spelled.
To the ones who taught us grace,
And found new rhythm, a slower pace.

Chorus
So here’s to Red Wine Friday, let the stories pour,
We raise a glass and laugh some more.
From splints to spills and miracle strides,
We toast the highs, and let go of the tides.
Red Wine Friday, with this OT crew
There’s healing in the work… and in the wine too.
