As someone who has struggles with anxiety and depression as well, I definitely get this tune. Truer lyrics have never been sung. As you said, just the act of getting those feelings out there - in song, in writing, or just saying them outloud - can give you, if not relief, then perspective. 
A powerful tune. And so well done, as usual.

I think many artists are afflicted with a variety of emotions, some of us are more prone to depression than others. I think this is great and you really describe the emotional challenges very well.
