It's about finding sustenance for your inner self, similar to how livestock graze on pasture, but instead of physical food, it's about feeding your spirit. I am an old man now and I learned that anybody who performs music at any skill level has someting to say that is appreciated. We play to try to play something that is liked!!!! My father (harmonica) and my Grandmother (Piano) worked so hard to support us but played to entertain just the family and they sounded Great to me and I belive that is because they just loved it!!!

I realize older generations (like ours) do not always agree with the younger generations and many say that the older generation was cricized just as much by their parents!! But I agree with you!! I do think that I have no idea what these youngsters have to deal with!!!
