Song information
Wrote and recorded this in December 2019 on a Boss BR 1200 machine. I think the words speak for themselves. The second verse is a bit ironic considering the chords were loosely based on the beginning of Chopin's "Polonaise Militrare." When I was a kid, my dad used to play that on piano quite a bit.

Lyrics
As the years pass I feel
That
in spite of advancing age I'm getting better in every way
But then the creeping fear comes in and takes over

As I write a song I feel
That It's all mine and nothing has been stolen from anyone
But then the creeping fear comes in and takes over

Maybe it's overthinking and nothing more
Then nights keep you awake and pacing the floor
But after a while it overcomes and still fades

Then now I wonder was it worth the while
It doesn't matter when I walk the mile
Should anyone hardly care

As each day passes there is
Thoughts of how they say all is for the best in this world
But then the creeping fear comes in and takes over

I've played that Polonaise more than any other piece.  That was the first "real" piece I felt I learned and has a special place for me.  Pretty neat that lead the way into this.  I can hear some of those chords.  This definitely has it's own soul and vibe, and clear classical influence beyond the Chopin piece.  Enjoyed.

Most of us---perhaps all of us---who are getting on in years have experienced this
creeping fear. You capture the experience perfectly bro. I like how Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull deals
with it:
"Stare that beastie in the face and really give it ****!" (BEASTIE, Jethro Tull, 1982)
Lovely piano and vocal delivery Mark...
