A song for the upcoming holiday season...

Back in 2006 there was a gentle competition of sorts at Macjams.com.
If memory serves, it was sparked by Jack Miller's cover of the traditional folk
song 'Wayfaring Stranger.' Several site members posted their unique takes
on this timeless classic.

This was my contribution from October 2006.

My 'birth sister' Roxylee joins me on vocals. (Although we are unrelated, our
souls entered this old world in the same year, on the same day, at roughly
the same time... It was always a pleasure working with her!)

I was able to re-record the electric guitar soloing. The original soloing was
too 'psychedelic' and really didn't fit the song all that well.

As I had saved the file stems to CD I was able to thoroughly remix and remaster
it for this posting. (HOORAYYY!)

My voice was better and smoother back in 2006 than it is now.
Also, the subject matter didn't seem to call for my usual caterwauling! LOL...

Excellent rendition, Mike! I love this song and your version more than does it justice. You sound  great and I like the new guitar parts, and Roxylee's vocal is icing on the cake.

Thanks Matt, but I was not only more relaxed (it's what this kind of song calls for) I was
also years younger. Not sure I could sing this song quite as well now at 72!

I'm so glad the file stems for this one survived, albeit in compressed form. 
They only required further EQ-ing and some volume adjustments. It was an
easy fix this time out. Not always this lucky! LOL...
