Lafayette (Patrick Poulou), woofer3 (John Jenkins), FatChance (George Couts), KCsGroove (Cees Swart), woodguy (Kirk Duquette), Aaron Todd...and, i guess, sadly more that i dont know about...
Im probably not the only one to think about this but maybe we could open a forum topic, in memory of the artists that we had the pleasure and honour to collaborate with / chat with / share music with on Icompositions and that are no longer with us ? Especially if we upload some songs and cant add them as collaborators ? Of course we will mention their names in the song info but i was thinking a special place where we can plug this music. What do you all think ?
ICOMP legends all.I can tell you Dani(RAVEN) is doing fine, but we did lose Bidaddycee(clay gittens).A lot of the former members i see once and a while, and always GREAT to hear and see them.
Those of us from MacJams back in the day will remember RT Cooper (Hugh Mohr) who passed earlier this year.
I got to know him and collaborate with him on a number of tunes, as did some of the others who have signed up here - jiguma (Neil Porter) for sure did some really great stuff with him as well.
I had thought about posting a song we worked on together, but wasn't really sure if that would be okay...
I was thinking about this. I had an idea that an account could be created for each of them, and a trusted person could be the owner of the account. Could be a family member, friend, or just someone who really admired their music and wants to make sure it continues to be heard.
I interacted with Patrick and Cees a lot. Cees helped me so much with recording tips and was always so gracious and giving. What musicians these guys were! Both of extremely high character and talent! Let their memory live on!
Hello, Gang of Yesteryear. My thanks to Stan for alerting me to this site. But OH so many are gone forever. Cees is a shocker. Guess we'd better make this time count. Humbled, Anne
May they all rest in peace!
I was aware of some and also I was looking forward to collaborate with some.
Now I see that this is no longer possible. Time goes fast at times.
Makes one appreciate every second we live even more.
I am fond of this idea Dyl.
Warm regards,
Djev
