Favorite songs is a good way to listen again, it's a great feature. On many webistes now, people are also used to "like"/thumb up something. A quicker way to give good vibes, i guess. Do you think it's possible to have this feature on each song on iBandStand ?
I was doing some thinking about having a Like / Thumbs up for a song. It occurred to me that if people could simply "Like", they would be less likely to leave a comment. And comments are the reason so many people loved iCompositions. Therefore, it could possibly take away from charm of the site if there were less comments. What do you think?
You're maybe right about the thumbs up / comment thing, but i use also SoundCloud and it gives both possibilites, which is rather cool, i think. And i dont know what's best ... a thumb up or a super-short "i like it" in the comments...
Favoriting (if i remember well...) was also a good way to not "miss" any new songs from our fav artists. Could it be possible, in the backstage area, to get the same list of new song from favs ? Then the fav feature would even more attractive...or ?
One last thing about favoriting : when people favorited a song on Icomp, their avatars were listed in the song page itself, to know who did what. Now we can see how much but not who done it... or maybe i'm missing something ?
Yeah, being able to see who favorited your song was a great feature on the original site.
Also, I'm not getting email notifications about comments on the song I posted today -- am I supposed to? I checked the box to get them.
