Song information
Written about the summer of '77 when I was five and already big time interested in popular music of the day. We were visiting friends in Tustin or Orange in the LA area. The album they had that most grabbed the attention for myself was "I Love Music" which was one of those Ronco completion albums of the day. Musically, I was going for a bit of a Stevie Wonder type feel, hence the synth bass line and other vintage synth sounds mid way through. The house I lived on back then was on a street where everything was very social. It was almost like I had several parents instead of just one, which was kind of cool. I did go to Universal with everyone else that year (grudgingly of course). Scuastrita played drums and helped master the song.

Lyrics
Life was good in Tustin
With your cereal and TV
Felix had his bag of tricks
Boxing for all to see

And though it seemed like a dream
You know it's really not so
With your swimming pool and records
Seemed like there was nowhere else to go

CHORUS:
You were welcome in any house
You were welcome in any house

Blueberry muffins, a game of twister then
While the music kept on playing in the place where we had been
Universal Studios seemed so far away
They all wanted to go, I just wanted to stay where

REPEAT CHORUS:

Still got that record
Ronco was the name
It's got Love Hangover
And Wham Bam Shang A Lang

Why am I so timid
Are people really the same
Before it's too late now
Gotta relearn to play the game where

REPEAT CHORUS:
