Hmmm, 1 song per person per day, I think is a little bit over the top, I can understand some people get a bit greedy and want only their songs/collaborations to be played or worked on, so they just keep uploading, but what about when someone just wants (like me) to upload a song for feedback, and then uploads a song for collaboration, or just upload for collab, or upload for feedback, or just upload 2 songs for collaboration?
I uploaded a song for feedback, and now I have to get romantic with the wife, take the kids to a zoo, watch a movie, eat dinner, sleep, wash, rinse and repeat until the 24hrs are up to upload something for collaboration, so, IMO, 2 songs per artist per day would be better, then, a song can be uploaded for feedback, and also upload another for collaboration, or 2 songs can be uploaded as collaborations, and have 2 collabs being worked on, giving the uploader something to do while on the site. Something to think about as a suggestion.
I am fine with the 1 song in 24 hours rule, although I prefer---out of consideration for other artists---to limit myself to one song a week.
Most folks only have a limited amount of time to devote to listening and commenting. In this kind of situation the tendency is to listen to one's closest friends first; and then---if there's still time---to check out other artists.
We're all here for our own reasons, and I am in no wise attempting to push another rule on anyone.
Mine is and will continue to be a self-imposed rule. I suggest we each search out what we think will work best for 1) our own agenda, and 2) that of the wider community.
The answers we come up with may not be the identical, but so what?
Be well all!
