Reversal of conventional song structure.

06-Aug-2024 | 2:48 AM
Currently, I'm working on a "drowning in sorrow" bluesy type backing track that is the reverse of the standard song structure, usually the structure of a song is, intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, (sometimes a bridge), solo, verse, chorus/ending, but this time I'm breaking that structure and building it thus:

Intro
4-8 bar Solo
12-16 bar vocals.
4-8 bar solo
4 bar ending

In this situation, the the vocals are in the middle instead of at the beginning, middle and ending.  It's getting there, and hopefully by tomorrow, it should be finished, and I'll post it here for anyone to collaborate on, it will be in need of lyrics and vocals with a deep New Orleans blues feel.

Songs with an unusual structure are always interesting.

i love messing around with song structure. my favorite form is:
A B (maybe other things) A B ... C C C
when C comes in, it feels like a bridge, yet it never goes anywhere. i call it "the bridge to nowhere"
